FROM NEW YORK CITY:
- Travel on Interstate 95 South toward the New Jersey Turnpike/I-80
- Take exit 72A for State Hwy 4 W toward Paramus, continue on RT 4 for 6.7 miles
- Take the State Hwy 17 N exit toward Garden State Pkwy. Continue on RT 17 for 14.8 miles.
- Take the State Hwy 17 N/New York State Trwy/I-87 N exit on the left toward Albany.
- Keep right at the fork to continue toward I-87 N.
- Merge onto I-87 N; proceed on I-87 for 112 miles.
- Take exit 23 for US 9W/I-787 toward Albany/Troy.
- Stay on I-787 for 10 miles, continuing through Albany.
- Take the Hoosick Street/Route 7 exit.
- Continue on Route 7 for 25.4 miles into Vermont, at which point it becomes VT State Highway 9.
- Follow VT 9 for 25.2 miles through Bennington, Woodford, Searsburg, and Medburyville, turning left at Ray Hill Road.
- After 1.7 miles, continue straight onto Mann Road.
- After 1.6 miles, turn left onto Colbrook Road.
- Colbrook Road becomes Handle Road after 1.2 miles, continue 0.1 miles to The Hermitage on the left.
FROM HARTFORD:
- Take Interstate 91 North (80.9 miles) via the Springfield ramp.
- Travel through Connecticut, Massachusetts, and into Vermont to exit 2 for State Hwy 9 towards Bennington/Brattleboro.
- Turn right at VT-9 Western Ave and continue on VT-9.
- At the first light in Wilmington, turn right onto VT Route 100 north.
- Follow Route 100 north approximately 3 miles and turn left onto Coldbrook Rd.
- Follow Coldbrook Road 2.9 miles and continue on as it changes to Handle Road.
- Proceed another 0.1 miles; The Hermitage is on the left.
FROM BOSTON:
- Take Mystic Valley Pkwy/RT-16 toward Arlington.
- At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Alewife Brook Pkwy/RT-16. Proceed for 1.4 miles.
- Take the ramp onto Concord Turnpike/RT-2. Proceed on RT-2 for 10.0 miles.
- Turn left at Bypass Rd/Concord Turnpike/Route 2/RT-2/RT-2A.
- Continue to follow Concord Turnpike/RT-2/RT-2A. Continue for 4.5 miles.
- At Concord Rotary, take the 3rd exit onto RT-2/Union Turnpike. Continue to follow RT-2 for 70 miles.
- Take VT State Highway 9 West exit from Brattleboro. Proceed on VT-9 for 18.3 miles.
- Turn right at Ray Hill Road in Wilmington.
- After 1.7 miles, continue straight onto Mann Road.
- After 1.6 miles, turn left onto Colbrook Road.
- Colbrook Road becomes Handle Road after 1.2 miles, continue 0.1 miles to The Hermitage on the left.
